Open Bored Auger Piling

Open auger bored piles are used by cfa piling contractors and mini piling contractors to construct piles with sectional solid stemmed augers. Once the depth has been reached the augers are removed from the bore and the pile reinforcement is placed ready for concreting. Concrete is then introduced and the pile is complete. This is when it can be tied to ground beams or concrete pad foundations. This method of piling is ideal in dry, stable clayey environments. It requires the bore to ‘hold’ open.
