Ground Beams

Ground beams are designed to span between concrete pad foundations and piles. Piles and Ground beams may be used to support brick work, block work and so on, but may also be used at the edge of in situ concrete floor slabs, where they form permanent shuttering. The purpose of a ground beam is to link the piles together and provide a platform for further superstructure construction. Ground beams are very important in poor soil areas where the foundation needs reinforcement. We design and install all types of foundations and can advise on what is the safest and most economical for your project.
